This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Lead, train, mentor, and cultivate a team of Contracts professionals and/or managers.
• Supervise negotiation strategies, terms and conditions, change management, proposal management, risk mitigation, audit support, letter drafting, and contract execution.
• Interpret requirements and cascade them in alignment with company policies, legal standards, and customer specifications.
• Provide consistent performance feedback and support for employees.
• Develop process enhancements to improve functional performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
• Oversee financial and operational impacts on the Business Unit.
• Mentor teams in business judgment, strategic vision, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Counsel senior management on contractual and business matters.
• Analyze Requests for Proposals and conduct proposal evaluations.
• Coordinate responses to customers.
• Interpret and draft contractual language.
• Negotiate contracts ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Communicate discrepancies and minimize risks.
• Support program management and execution assessments.
• Collaborate with General Managers and Business Development on competitive strategies, intellectual property, and investment plans.
• Assist Military Aftermarket programs through cross-functional collaboration, negotiation advice, customer negotiations, and contractual recommendations.
• A University Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline with at least 10 years of experience.
• Experience in government contracting.
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
• Previous experience as a people leader is preferred.
• Experience in contracts and negotiations is preferred.
