This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Oversee, train, mentor, and develop a team of Contracts professionals and/or managers.
• Spearhead negotiation strategies, terms and conditions, contractual and business change management, proposal management, risk mitigation, business management, audit support, and letter writing.
• Ensure that contract fulfillment adheres to company policies, legal standards, and customer specifications.
• Interpret and disseminate requirements effectively.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and support to employees.
• Create process improvements to boost functional performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Manage the financial and operational implications for the Business Unit.
• Guide team members in business judgment, strategic vision, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Counsel senior management on contractual and business matters.
• Analyze Requests for Proposals and facilitate proposal reviews.
• Coordinate responses to customer inquiries.
• Draft and interpret contract language with precision.
• Negotiate contracts and address or mitigate risks when terms do not align with company policies.
• Assist with program management and execution reviews.
• Collaborate with General Managers and Business Development on competitive pursuit strategies, intellectual property, and investment strategies.
• Support Military Aftermarket programs through cross-functional collaboration, negotiation strategy guidance, customer negotiations, and contractual recommendations.
• A University Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience.
• Experience in government contracting is essential.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are permitted access to certain necessary systems.
• Previous experience as a people leader is preferred.
• Preferred experience in contracts and negotiation.
