This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee engineering and design operations throughout the proposal, design, quality control, and construction stages for designated renewable civil and/or structural projects.
• Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary activities on major projects or a combination of large-scale projects.
• Provide guidance and supervision for subconsultants to ensure project delivery aligns with quality, timelines, and client expectations.
• Manage project scope, contractual obligations, change orders, scheduling commitments, and technical delivery benchmarks.
• Lead teams of civil and structural engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Foster and maintain a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
• Offer strategic direction, leadership, and oversight of technical services.
• Mentor and develop management personnel through leadership discussions, career advancement, talent assessments, succession planning, quarterly evaluations, promotion strategies, retention initiatives, and follow-up on engagement surveys.
• Manage team budgets, revenue, profitability, indirect costs, training, recognition, and costs associated with team events.
• Assess capacity, skill sets, performance, and development requirements to facilitate workforce planning and inter-team collaboration.
• Collaborate with HR and recruitment teams to assess candidates, engage in interviews, lead debrief sessions, and select appropriate talent.
• Drive departmental continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.
• Work alongside Business Development and organizational leaders to implement territory sales strategies, broaden client services, and enhance revenue growth.
• Develop proposal strategies and contracting processes, including proposals, contracts, work orders, MSAs, and NDAs.
• Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with clients in the Renewables sector.
• Act as a representative of the Renewables Civil Department in discussions with clients and within the market.
• PE registration is mandatory.
• Previous management experience is essential, including the capability to lead managers, cultivate talent, and build accountable teams.
• Prior experience in renewable civil or structural design is required.
• Strong business insight and industry knowledge are necessary.
• Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
• Equivalent professional experience may also be taken into account.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in consulting engineering or a similar infrastructure-focused setting is preferred.
• Experience in supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, initiative, and a collaborative leadership style.
• Dedication to employee engagement, manager development, talent enhancement, and the success of others.
• Capability to establish effective relationships with employees, managers, clients, partners, and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in managing multiple priorities and establishing clear expectations.
• Ability to identify areas for improvement and growth while evaluating risk, capacity, and organizational impact.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.
• Additional software experience may be necessary or preferred depending on the specialty area.
