Associate Director – Capital Programs

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee the planning, execution, and financial oversight of Waters' consumable capital projects.

β€’ Lead the entire lifecycle of capital projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies to design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and project closeout.

β€’ Develop and sustain project plans that encompass scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management.

β€’ Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, engineering, finance, quality assurance, vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

β€’ Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and deliver financial forecasts and reports to senior leadership.

β€’ Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

β€’ Maintain reporting systems for project progress, performance metrics, and financial expenditures.

β€’ Monitor progress, identify challenges or deviations, and initiate corrective actions.

β€’ Present project updates, performance reports, and recommendations to executive management.

β€’ Mentor and guide project teams while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

β€’ At least 8–10 years of progressive experience in capital project management, ideally within the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors.

β€’ Demonstrated success in managing a multi-million-dollar capital portfolio.

β€’ Strong grasp of project management principles, Agile, Waterfall methodologies, and tools such as MS Project.

β€’ Experience in budget formulation, cost management, and financial reporting for capital projects.

β€’ Capability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams and manage external vendors.

β€’ Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

β€’ Proficient in risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making in complex environments.

β€’ Familiarity with life sciences regulatory standards and quality requirements, including GMP and FDA.

β€’ Willingness to travel approximately 10% as needed to project sites.

β€’ A Master's degree or PMP certification is preferred.
