Associate Director, Biostatistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary statistical Subject Matter Expert for engagements and opportunities with US-based sponsors.

• Provide strategic biostatistical leadership and advice across various clinical development programs and studies.

• Serve as a key contact for sponsors, fostering relationships and offering scientific guidance throughout the lifecycle of projects.

• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, responses to RFPs, capability presentations, bid defenses, and client interactions.

• Support the growth and expansion of Biometrics Functional Service Provider services within the US market.

• Represent the Biometrics function during discussions with sponsors.

• Work alongside global Biometrics teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and timely projects.

• Aid in the establishment and growth of the US Biometrics function.

• Contribute to strategic planning, resource development, and operational initiatives.

• Engage in recruiting, mentoring, and developing future members of the Biometrics team.

• Help define the strategic direction and operational framework for the US Biometrics capability.

• Ensure that statistical activities adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company protocols.

• Promote continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in biostatistics within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research setting.

• Strong proficiency in clinical trial design, statistical methodologies, analysis, and interpretation.

• Proven experience serving as a sponsor-facing statistical lead or Subject Matter Expert.

• Background in supporting business development efforts, including proposals, bid defenses, RFP responses, and client presentations.

• Commercial awareness and business acumen.

• Solid understanding of the clinical development process and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to build credibility and influence among sponsors, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.

• Experience working within global and geographically distributed teams.

• Strategic mindset and the ambition to contribute to the growth and shaping of the US Biometrics function.
