Associate Director, AI Foundations Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the architecture, design, and engineering delivery of the organization’s agentic AI platform and associated solutions.

• Drive the transformation of current products, processes, and workflows into scalable, agentic AI-enabled capabilities.

• Oversee comprehensive AI engineering operations, encompassing development, deployment, monitoring, reliability, and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to outline technical roadmaps, platform standards, and solution priorities that align with business objectives.

• Establish engineering best practices to enhance AI system performance, scalability, security, governance, and maintainability.

• Guide the evaluation, integration, and optimization of AI models, orchestration frameworks, and supporting platform components.

• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams.

• Identify opportunities to accelerate value delivery through reusable AI services, automation, and operational efficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred, ideally in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in technology leadership, solution architecture, software engineering, or prototype development.

• Proven track record of developing and advancing proofs of concept for digital, data-driven, or AI-enabled solutions.

• Experience in translating early-stage concepts into functional prototypes or proofs of concept.

• Familiarity with evaluating technical feasibility and defining solution approaches.

• Strong technical expertise across modern application development, cloud platforms, data, and AI technologies.

• Experience in leading cross-functional technical initiatives, guiding developers, and coordinating with stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and execution skills.

• Ability to clearly articulate technical trade-offs, manage multiple priorities, and operate efficiently in fast-paced innovation environments.
