Associate Corporate Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Draft, evaluate, and negotiate commercial contracts, proposals, and various legal documents.

• Offer legal assistance and counsel to product and business teams.

• Analyze, interpret, and align legal obligations with business scenarios.

• Effectively communicate legal requirements to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and protection laws, including the EU and UK GDPR.

• Balance risks within business processes and decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized university.

• Membership in a provincial or territorial law society in Canada.

• Over 2 years of experience as a legal counsel in technology (either in-house or at a law firm).

• Strong negotiating capabilities with both legal and business counterparts.

• Experience with negotiating technology agreements (NDA, SaaS Agreement, EULA, MSA, SOW, DPA, etc.).

• Proven ability to build trustworthy relationships with internal clients.

• Exhibit sound judgment even in uncertain situations.

• Ability to operate independently.
