This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Execute operational processes and activities related to collateral management in line with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Conduct collateral safekeeping, tracking/reporting, perfections, continuations, and releases.

• Offer advice and guidance to the designated business/group on solution implementation.

• Create solutions and recommendations based on business strategies and stakeholder needs.

• Assess business priorities and the sequencing of execution.

• Support strategic initiatives alongside internal and external stakeholders.

• Address both standard and non-standard inquiries from internal business partners and external clients.

• Foster effective stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment.

• Synthesize information from multiple sources to enhance processes, analysis, and reporting.

• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues or escalate as necessary.

• Develop and engage in change management plans and initiatives.

• Deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service while adhering to SLAs.

• Contribute to operational program planning and implementation.

• Assist with scheduling, resource forecasting, and team workflow coordination.

• Delegate tasks, review outputs, and support performance evaluations, quality control, training, and coaching as needed.

• Process routine and non-routine transactions, inquiries, requests, and audit/reconciliation activities.

• Analyze and resolve complex issues, acting as a backup for team members and the manager.

• Evaluate exceptions and involve senior management for resolution.

• Serve as a problem-solving resource for junior staff members.

• Identify business needs and design/develop tools and training programs.

• Act as the primary vendor contact and assist in vendor solution implementation and maintenance.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and partake in project, product, and process testing and implementation.

• Accurately process transactions and services while managing regulatory and risk controls.

• Adhere to documented policies and procedures and maintain Service Level Agreements.

• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Verify and reconcile information and documentation for precision and completeness.

• Maintain an understanding of regulatory requirements and operational risks.

• Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make informed, risk-aware decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Typically possess 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.

• Hold a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in utilizing relevant systems and technology.

• Thorough understanding of the business unit's key products and services, processes, and controls.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements pertaining to the business.

• Strong skills in prioritization.

• Advanced customer service abilities.

• Proficient in PC applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent writing skills.

• Experience with data, automation, or AI tools to enhance productivity is a plus.

• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while supporting process improvement and automation initiatives.

• Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain automation and AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to identify business use cases for automation.

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

• Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong influence skills.

• Data-driven decision-making skills.

• Understanding of risk and regulatory requirements and AI governance, with a capability to apply AI to maintain current knowledge.
