This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Execute operational processes and activities linked to collateral management, which encompass safekeeping, tracking/reporting, perfections, continuations, and releases.
• Offer advice and guidance on the implementation of solutions.
• Create solutions and recommendations that align with business strategy and stakeholder requirements.
• Assess business priorities and establish execution sequencing.
• Assist strategic initiatives involving both internal and external stakeholders.
• Address standard and non-standard inquiries from business partners and external clients.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Synthesize information to enhance processes, analysis, and reporting.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues or escalate as necessary.
• Develop and implement change-management plans and activities.
• Provide timely, accurate, and efficient service.
• Aid in operational program planning and execution.
• Support work scheduling, resource forecasting, and team workflow coordination.
• Process transactions, inquiries, and audit/reconciliation activities.
• Address complex issues and serve as a backup for team members and management.
• Assess exceptions and engage senior management when necessary.
• Act as a problem-solving resource for junior staff.
• Recognize business needs and create tools and training programs.
• Serve as the primary vendor contact and support vendor solutions.
• Enhance business processes and procedures while participating in project and product/process implementations.
• Accurately process transactions while adhering to regulatory and risk controls.
• Comply with policies and procedures to meet service-level agreements.
• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Verify and reconcile information and documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and operational risks.
• Implement BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions.
• Generally, 4–6 years of pertinent experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in relevant systems and technology.
• Extensive understanding of business unit products, services, processes, and controls.
• Thorough knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Advanced proficiency in PC applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Effective writing skills.
• Experience with data, automation, or AI tools is a plus.
• Capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Technical expertise acquired through education and/or professional experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including the capacity to explain automation and AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to identify business use cases for automation.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Competent in data-driven decision-making.
