This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide support for ongoing commercial and business litigation cases from the initial evaluation to resolution.

• Monitor court dates, filing requirements, discovery deadlines, service deadlines, and other critical dates across various cases.

• Ensure precise maintenance of litigation trackers and adhere to schedules for assignments and filings.

• Collaborate with internal attorneys and external counsel to advance matters effectively.

• Draft and modify pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, affidavits, notices, demand letters, settlement documents, legal correspondence, and additional court filings.

• Aid in document collection, review, preservation, e-discovery, and the production of discovery materials.

• Evaluate legal work products and supporting documents for accuracy and thoroughness.

• Prepare witnesses, exhibits, hearing binders, deposition materials, mediation submissions, and trial documentation.

• Assist with hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, trials, and other litigation-related events.

• Travel to various counties across Texas as required, which may include multiple trips each month.

• Conduct research on Texas and federal law and draft memoranda, filings, or practical recommendations.

• Communicate legal matters and subsequent actions to internal business stakeholders.

• Coordinate with outside counsel and supply necessary information, documentation, and support for each case.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.

• 3–6 years of experience in commercial or business litigation.

• Extensive hands-on experience in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.

• Strong skills in legal research, writing, organization, and communication.

• Capability to manage deadlines across multiple active cases.

• Preferred experience in Texas state and federal court.

• Preferred experience in managing discovery and collaborating with outside counsel.

• Familiarity with e-filing, e-discovery, and matter-management systems is preferred.

• Previous in-house experience is preferred.

• Candidates must possess significant hands-on litigation experience; primarily transactional, corporate, investor relations, or contract administration experience is not suitable.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
