📋 Description

• Deliver actuarial assistance across a wide array of actuarial and business requirements for the Illinois Medicaid Market

• Contribute to the components of capitation rate examination

• Compose communications advocating for rate adjustments

• Conduct actual-to-expected business analytics

• Project financial outcomes specific to the market

• Provide on-demand market assistance for the state of Illinois

• Counsel executives on significant matters and formulate functional strategies

• Utilize independent judgment and decision-making capabilities on intricate issues

• Operate under the guidance of an FSA Actuary

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

• ASA designation along with an advanced degree, recent and pertinent work experience, and/or other relevant professional certifications

• Excellent technical and communication abilities

• A minimum of 3 years of technical experience

• Familiarity with Medicaid regulations, programs, and state plan benefits

• Experience in capitation rate formulation from either the state agency or payer viewpoint

• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare claims

• Proficiency in developing Microsoft Power BI dashboards

• A minimum home internet download speed of 25 Mbps

• A minimum home internet upload speed of 10 Mbps

• A dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information
