Associate Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +26 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform analyses, pricing assessments, and risk evaluations to assess and forecast the financial outcomes of Medicare Advantage.

• Assist in quarterly forecasting, establish Medicare bid targets, and contribute to significant business decisions that influence Medicare benefits and financial results.

• Evaluate business risks and opportunities through thorough analysis.

• Examine data reports, identify trends and discrepancies, and suggest actionable recommendations.

• Utilize mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to compute financial results.

• Create probability tables based on statistical information and other relevant data.

• Investigate and assess the effects of legislative modifications.

• Identify fair methods for allocating funds for insurance benefits.

• Generate and revise actuarial reports as needed.

• Engage in analyses related to mergers and acquisitions.

• Validate annual Medicare bids.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent international certification.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience.

• Preferred experience with Medicare Advantage financial performance, cost trend analysis, and actuarial analytics.

• Strong analytical decision-making abilities.

• Proficient in advanced Excel.

• Basic skills in SQL/querying.

• MAAA designation preferred for Medicare bid certification.

• Experience with AI/Copilot is an advantage.

• Position is fully remote within the Continental U.S.
