P&C Actuary Lead Consultant – Reserving

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute and/or oversee projects that support Property & Casualty insurance reserving.

• Collaborate with reserving leadership, Finance, and Claims to assess the adequacy and volatility of reserves.

• Monitor and analyze emerging loss trends.

• Lead the development of a reserve narrative.

• Provide strategic and technical guidance while contributing to advancements and innovation.

• Plan, execute, manage, and contribute to projects of moderate to high complexity.

• Conduct and lead intricate reserve analyses utilizing actuarial, statistical, and predictive modeling techniques.

• Leverage knowledge of the insurance industry, claims operations, products, markets, and the larger economic landscape.

• Mentor, guide, and evaluate less experienced team members.

• Review and convey reserving methodologies and outcomes to leadership and business partners.

• Select, assess, utilize, and ensure the quality of claims, exposure, and financial data for reserve analyses, monitoring, and actuarial forecasts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year program).

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in place of the stated educational requirements.

• Background investigation is mandatory.

• Allstate typically does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this role.

• A dedicated, private workspace that is free from distractions while working from home.

• An appropriate desk and seating arrangement for remote work.

• Access to reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
