This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of customer relationships within a designated territory, account portfolio, or animal segment.
• Collaborate closely with a seasoned Account Manager or Sales Specialist.
• Oversee daily commercial operations for assigned customers or emerging accounts.
• Act as the commercial point of contact, coordinating responses with Customer Service, Technical Services, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage a specified portfolio of smaller or developing accounts, expanding responsibilities as capabilities grow.
• Cultivate trusted customer relationships while gaining insight into business objectives, operational contexts, and requirements.
• Organize and conduct customer meetings, document customer requirements, and follow up on commitments made.
• Identify opportunities to enhance relationships and foster profitable account expansion.
• Collaborate with Species Specialists and Technical Services to align customer needs with animal nutrition expertise and Zinpro solutions.
• Coordinate efforts with Marketing, Customer Service, Product Development, and other departments.
• Manage responsibilities, timelines, and follow-up actions among internal contributors.
• Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts, and account or market analyses.
• Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities, sharing insights with the sales team.
• Utilize company resources responsibly, including travel expenses, marketing funds, and company-provided tools.
• Represent Zinpro at trade shows, association meetings, and industry events.
• Travel domestically up to 50% and potentially work in various U.S. regions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in sales, internships, customer service, agriculture, or the animal industry.
• Proven interest in agricultural sales.
• Developing understanding of animal nutrition and the feed or livestock sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate in a professional manner.
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn through coaching, feedback, and hands-on experience.
• Capability to prioritize tasks and follow through on commitments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Willingness to travel and maintain any required driving credentials for the assigned location.
• Preferred: Prior internship or work experience related to sales, agriculture, animal production, feed, or nutrition.
• Preferred: Experience in preparing presentations, analyzing basic data, or utilizing customer relationship management tools.
• Preferred: Knowledge of the animal segment or geographic market relevant to the role.
• Ability to work within core business hours and participate in after-hours and weekend calls, customer/client events, and industry gatherings.
