This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Monitor trends in custom automation across various market sectors and translate research findings into actionable prospecting and new opportunities.
• Establish JR Automation as a premier provider of automation, integration, and custom machine manufacturing solutions.
• Comprehend customer requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Generate sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound communications, including calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other methods.
• Create order and bookings projections utilizing Salesforce CRM.
• Gather and evaluate market, account, corporate, and industry intelligence.
• Identify, qualify, and direct opportunities to sales directors, account managers, or relevant business units.
• Conduct discovery calls to assess customer needs, timelines, budgets, technical compatibility, project scope, risks, and resource requirements.
• Prepare materials for customer briefings and facilitate transitions to sales and technical teams.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, and subject matter experts.
• Act as the initial point of contact and cultivate relationships with prospective clients.
• Represent the company during customer meetings.
• Define and document project requirements for internal stakeholders.
• Manage small to medium-sized projects as necessary.
• Meet sales lead objectives established by the VP of Sales.
• Maintain comprehensive CRM records and ensure professional communication throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
• A degree in engineering, business administration, advertising, marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Equivalent experience is defined as two years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.
• A minimum of two years of sales or research experience within manufacturing, industrial services, or custom automation.
• Current or previous experience with JR Automation, or within the automation industry, is highly preferred.
• Understanding of sales and marketing strategies.
• Capability to develop strong negotiation skills.
• Enthusiasm for manufacturing and automation, coupled with proven technical aptitude.
• Self-driven to meet challenging sales lead targets.
• Proficient in relationship development.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• High emotional intelligence.
• Successful completion of a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background verification.
