Assistant Vice President – Retail Credit Initiation, Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the entire process of Personal Loans and Cards applications, including underwriting, CPV, and disbursement activities.

• Ensure compliance with established service standards, daily SLA, and TAT targets.

• Evaluate and analyze performance, conduct spot checks, and maintain team discipline.

• Respond to routine activity queries within designated timeframes.

• Enhance data-entry quality and compliance with credit policies to boost approval rates.

• Lead teams to exceed departmental and organizational objectives.

• Approve modifications to processes aimed at improvement and efficiency.

• Foster productivity and enhance the skills of leadership.

• Analyze daily rejects/referrals and enhance results through ongoing training and learning initiatives.

• Manage risks through exception reporting and thorough application reviews.

• Ensure adherence to operating procedures and PPG requirements.

• Collaborate with unit managers, business partners, and Risk teams for effective capacity planning and operational coordination.

• Encourage staff participation and contributions towards improving service quality.

• Initiate and monitor quality projects as well as productivity and workflow improvement reviews.

• Report exceptional occurrences to Unit/Division Heads and provide corrective and preventive measures.

• Achieve satisfactory results in both group and internal audits.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high level of maturity and excellent communication skills are essential for balancing the needs and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders and staff.

• Strong managerial and interpersonal skills with the capability to supervise teams effectively.

• Comprehensive knowledge of credit policies and familiarity with relevant systems.

• In-depth understanding of procedures related to retail lending products.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight/challenging deadlines.

• Graduate with over 10 years of experience in a Retail products onboarding setting.

• Proficient analytical skills are required.

• Must have held a similar role for a minimum of 5-6 years.
