This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze specifications to support construction scheduling based on initiation and completion dates along with staffing needs.
• Assist the MEP Project Manager in identifying and assessing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Create scopes of work, MEP project timelines, estimates, and pricing structures.
• Request prices from subcontractors/vendors/suppliers and aid in the selection of bidders and final price negotiations.
• Draft subcontracts and purchase orders for evaluation and approval.
• Prepare reports on cost-to-complete, monthly billing, status updates, progress, materials, and costs.
• Review and keep updated field sets of P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, shop, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Assist with pricing tasks, drafting modifications, and change orders.
• Coordinate and oversee on-site construction activities from pre-startup through to completion.
• Schedule subcontractors and identify necessary materials, equipment, tools, and supply sources.
• Establish and finalize construction site setups.
• Act as the on-site Safety Officer when one is not designated and engage in the QMS safety program.
• Acquire tools and materials for timely delivery.
• Guide supervisory personnel and subcontractors in planning, executing work, interpreting specifications, and coordinating construction stages.
• Address workforce complaints and grievances with supervisory staff.
• Modify work schedules based on reports and direction from the MEP Project Manager.
• Establish and uphold safety and quality standards.
• Implement, maintain, and generate reports for Gray’s QMS program and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s on-site safety protocols.
• Oversee multiple subordinate team members and indirectly manage subcontractors, consultants, and general laborers.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; and a minimum of five years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Fundamental computer skills, encompassing word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications.
• Must be willing to travel to project locations across the United States and, occasionally, internationally.
• Selected candidate can reside anywhere in the USA.
• This position does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
• Capability to perform necessary physical tasks, including frequently lifting/moving up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions that may be wet/humid, noisy, hazardous, and involve variable temperatures.
