This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage patient support cases throughout the intake, onboarding, benefits-related tasks, prior authorization assistance, and follow-up actions to facilitate access to therapy.
• Ensure precise records of patients, prescribers, cases, and reimbursement-related information in the specified systems.
• Collaborate with prescriber office personnel and other relevant parties on patient assistance, reimbursement support, and associated service procedures.
• Address routine to moderately complex case, access, and service inquiries by employing standardized procedures.
• Verify case documentation, coverage-related details, and support program contributions.
• Track open cases, service milestones, and reimbursement-related efforts to pinpoint delays, gaps, and issues.
• Raise non-standard access obstacles, unresolved reimbursement challenges, and exceptions to the appropriate parties.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is necessary.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in patient access, reimbursement, prior authorization, benefit verification, managed care coordination, specialty pharmacy, or a related discipline is essential.
• A Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent certification is required.
• Prior Authorization Certified Specialist (PACS) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Understanding of patient support program operations and case-based service delivery models.
• Familiarity with call center operations, service workflows, and quality assurance practices.
• Knowledge of training coordination, coaching support, and learning administration practices.
• Insight into reimbursement support programs, adherence programs, education programs, and patient support services.
• Awareness of operational reporting, work allocation, and scheduling support practices.
• Capability to coordinate assigned projects and operational tasks within established program frameworks.
• Ability to assist in the development and delivery of training across patient support functions.
• Skill to provide first-line guidance on standard process and workflow inquiries.
• Competence to monitor service quality efforts and identify issues that need follow-up.
• Proficiency in organizing work, managing priorities, and supporting multiple operational tasks.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to operate within defined service hours while ensuring operational continuity requirements are met.
