Assistant Manager – Technology, Data Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Oversee and lead a team of data analysts and developers, offering guidance and support to guarantee high-quality outputs.

• Create and implement business intelligence solutions, such as data analytics platforms and reporting tools, with a particular emphasis on Power BI.

• Convert business requirements into technical specifications.

• Generate visualizations and reports that aid decision-making processes and provide insights for stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and comprehend business needs while suggesting effective technical solutions.

• Partner closely with core function teams to establish requirements for on-premises and cloud data lakes, estimate efforts, and design optimal solutions.

• Manage critical applications and ensure their seamless operation, supporting key bank management decisions and regulatory reporting.

• Guarantee data security and adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards.

• Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data management and business intelligence.

• Mentor and develop team members, promoting ongoing learning and improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is mandatory; a master's degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, demonstrating a successful history of leading and managing data-focused teams.

• Practical experience with Power BI and other data analytics tools.

• In-depth understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.

• Experience with cloud-based data lakes, such as Azure Data Lake, is highly beneficial.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to work efficiently in a cross-functional team setting.

• An analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation, and the ability to transform business needs into technical solutions.

• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and their implications for financial and non-financial aspects.
