Assistant Manager, Store Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Assist in the daily management of one or more self-storage facilities under the supervision of the District Manager and Store Manager.

• Ensure that the facility adheres to high cleanliness standards and achieves operational excellence.

• Foster and sustain customer relationships through both in-person and telephone interactions.

• Implement a structured sales approach and oversee customer accounts.

• Assess storage requirements and offer customized solutions.

• Optimize sales through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.

• Conduct ongoing site maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the grounds.

• Execute daily safety inspections of the site, including checking locks.

• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to billing, security, auctions, and appropriate site usage.

• Manage cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on overdue payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits.

• Build and maintain professional relationships with Extra Space employees.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.

• Sales experience is preferred.

• A current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle are required for daily bank deposits and travel to other locations as necessary, except in New York City and Brooklyn.

• A High School diploma or GED is mandatory; a college education is an advantage.

• Capability to perform both indoor and outdoor tasks with exposure to seasonal weather conditions.

• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, sit, and lift as needed.

• Regularly able to lift or move items weighing up to 35 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
