Assistant Manager, Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement daily logistics and shipping operations in accordance with customer needs, dispatch priorities, and business goals.

• Collaborate with Customer Service, Planning, Warehouse, Sales, and Operations teams to guarantee prompt shipment execution and customer deliveries.

• Oversee vehicle scheduling, freight reservations, shipment consolidation, route selection, and shipment tracking to meet service, productivity, and cost objectives.

• Manage shipment loading and dispatch readiness while ensuring adherence to product handling, transportation, safety, and quality standards.

• Ensure timely completion of transportation documentation, proof of delivery (POD) tracking, and resolution of shipment-related issues and claims.

• Supervise freight forwarding, customs clearance, and import/export documentation processes while maintaining regulatory compliance.

• Verify the accuracy of shipping documentation and compliance with relevant Customs, DGFT, FEMA, Incoterms, and company regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, warehousing, and supply chain management.

• In-depth knowledge of dispatch planning, freight management, shipment documentation, and logistics execution procedures.

• Experience collaborating with transporters, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers.

• Familiarity with import/export operations, Customs regulations, DGFT requirements, Incoterms, and trade compliance protocols.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven experience in monitoring logistics KPIs, freight costs, transportation performance, and service provider efficiency.

• Proficient in SAP ERP systems (preferably SD/MM), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and logistics reporting tools.

• Ability to work effectively across various functions and prioritize tasks in a dynamic operational environment.
