Assistant Manager – Credit Evaluator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and process credit proposals and applications for Mashreq Bank’s retail lending products for approval or escalation within the designated turnaround time.

• Ensure the seamless implementation of front-end automation in the credit process across various lending products.

• Administer approvals in accordance with Credit Policy and Product specifications.

• Maintain consistent application of credit policies, ensure quality underwriting decisions, and oversee the quality of collateral documentation.

• Conduct supervisory credit reviews for RBG products as needed.

• Provide support in the absence of the team leader/Assistant Manager.

• Aid in the development and training of new team members.

• Analyze eligibility, bank statements, historical data, core-system verifications, and application-processing-system evaluations.

• Prepare comprehensive credit proposals for review and approval.

• Monitor KPIs and daily productivity metrics, suggesting improvements for productivity.

• Initiate projects aimed at enhancing unit productivity and improving retail lending products and credit policies.

• Identify exceptions related to eligibility, pricing, CPV, system information capture, and collateral compliance.

• Communicate any deficiencies and policy violations for necessary follow-up.

• Classify cases as declined, rejected, or in need of deviation approval.

• Achieve daily productivity goals and adhere to committed turnaround times.

• Engage in training and testing activities conducted by the quality unit.

• Detect anomalies and recommend updates to the Credit Policy, Product Manual, and operational procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in a Credit Management environment.
