Assistant General Counsel – Regulatory Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide legal advice regarding environmental compliance alongside supply chain due diligence laws and regulations.

• Oversee corporate obligations for disclosure and reporting related to environmental and social compliance issues.

• Advise on product compliance and environmental regulatory concerns impacting Jabil's manufacturing operations, including requirements for chemicals, product content, and waste management.

• Assist with environmental permitting and ensure facility compliance across Jabil's manufacturing locations.

• Evaluate environmental due diligence and liability issues in relation to acquisitions and new operational sites.

• Manage incident response and fulfill regulatory reporting requirements.

• Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Jabil's regulatory compliance management systems.

• Lead legal reviews and provide support for compliance audits, customer evaluations, and corrective action plans.

• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Legal teams to enhance compliance throughout Jabil's global operations and supply chain.

• Monitor and analyze emerging regulatory changes, advising business leaders on risk management and compliance strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD), LLM, or an equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.

• Licensed attorney in good standing in a member state of the EU or the UK.

• At least 8 years of pertinent legal experience in environmental law, supply chain compliance, regulatory compliance, or similar fields.

• Experience supporting multinational corporations and global manufacturing or supply chain operations.

• Strong grasp of internationally recognized frameworks for social compliance and human rights.

• Preferred experience in advising on supply chain due diligence or product compliance regulations.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic global environment.

• Capability to work effectively across various regions, cultures, and functional teams.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
