This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver practical, business-focused legal support to the Commercial, Market Access, Payer Relations, and Sales teams.
β’ Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including those related to customers, payers, services, consignment, EHR integration, and strategic commercial contracts.
β’ Provide guidance to business partners on healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact commercial operations.
β’ Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Sales, Market Access, HEOR, Payer Marketing, Customer Experience, and other cross-functional teams.
β’ Create and enhance contract templates, negotiation playbooks, processes, and legal support tools.
β’ Lead or assist in negotiations for significant commercial transactions.
β’ Keep abreast of legal and regulatory changes influencing the medical device, digital health, healthcare, and life sciences sectors.
β’ Interpret legal and regulatory changes into practical business recommendations.
β’ Conduct legal research and draft written guidance for the Legal Department and the companyβs commercial goals.
β’ Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law in good standing in at least one state and one federal jurisdiction within the United States.
β’ Over 5 years of experience with commercial agreements, particularly in health law, medical devices, or life sciences.
β’ General understanding and/or experience with fraud and abuse laws, including the Anti-kickback Statute and Stark Law.
β’ Familiarity with compliance regulations.
β’ Knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
β’ Understanding of the National Physician Payment Transparency Program (Sunshine Act).
β’ Experience with commercial and government payers is preferred.
β’ Strong writing skills, research capabilities, and analytical thinking.
β’ Self-motivated individual capable of completing projects accurately and on time.
β’ Outstanding organizational skills in a dynamic, deadline-oriented, high-volume environment.
β’ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, fostering cross-functional cooperation.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
β’ Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the Pacific Time Zone.
