This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of the financial control environment across the group and serve as the main liaison between daily financial operations and the strategic agenda of the CFO.
• Hold ultimate responsibility for consolidated financial control across all entities within the group.
• Lead and nurture the Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller teams.
• Oversee transactional and transformational initiatives in a rapidly expanding, private equity-supported organization.
• Finalize the group's financial records and manage the audit process.
• Lead financial due diligence for various transactions.
• Manage projects for consolidation or ERP system implementations.
• Assist the CFO with refinancing, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and investor reporting.
• Establish group-wide accounting policies and control standards.
• Review and approve consolidated management and statutory financial statements.
• Develop a scalable finance framework through restructuring, recruitment, and process design.
• Manage resource planning and prioritize workloads across transactional and reporting teams.
• Facilitate the post-acquisition integration of financial data, controls, and personnel from acquired entities.
• Oversee group taxes, including Corporation tax, Transfer pricing, VAT, and Payroll taxes.
• Manage consolidation and FP&A tools, driving automation and standardization of reporting and month-end closing processes.
• Ensure that multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation processes are aligned with growth objectives.
• Manage the relationship and process for external audits.
• Supervise treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and negotiations for refinancing or facilities when necessary.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks across the group.
• Must be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Significant post-qualification experience at the level of Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Group Finance Director.
• Familiarity with operating in private equity-backed and/or rapidly growing SaaS or technology sectors.
• Experience with private equity reporting cycles and the expectations of investors.
• Direct involvement in leading financial due diligence (FDD) workstreams and/or supporting the sale, acquisition, or refinancing of a business.
• Proven experience in managing multi-entity group consolidation and statutory/management reporting, including international or multi-currency frameworks.
• Experience in leading and developing finance teams through a management structure.
• Strong background in managing external audits.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP/IFRS reporting standards.
• Big 4 training or equivalent industry experience is highly desirable.
• Exceptional stakeholder management abilities.
• Capability to work directly with the CFO, board members, and external investors.
