This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Provide coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand circumstances arising from military requirements.

• Offer personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families.

• Conduct one-on-one counseling and consultations with commanders, providers, and staff members.

• Facilitate briefings, presentations, classes, seminars, and Personal Financial Management workshops.

• Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended absences.

• Develop and distribute informational financial resources.

• Address requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.

• Utilize virtual counseling, secure online chat, video communications, and customer-sponsored secure video teleconferencing when authorized.

• Manage duty-to-warn scenarios in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.

• Communicate with leadership and engage in individual as well as group supervision.

• Share insights regarding trends and issues at designated installations.

• Participate in in-services, training sessions, quality improvement committees, and other contractual activities.

• Collaborate closely with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program scope and installation requirements are fulfilled.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• An associate degree along with 4 years of experience may be considered as a substitute for a bachelor's degree.

• A high school diploma combined with 6 years of experience may also be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree.

• At least 3 years of experience in financial counseling is required.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Proficiency in spoken English is required.

• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are necessary if mandated by the contract.

• Capable of obtaining a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.

• Must successfully navigate the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.

• Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

• A valid in-state driver's license is required.

• Ability to effectively utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication methods.
