This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Design cloud-native architectures and reference models on Azure and AWS for client projects.
• Define microservices and event-driven architectures (EDA), utilizing streaming platforms like Kafka and Confluent.
• Lead the modernization and migration of legacy applications to the cloud.
• Design and govern APIs (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger) along with their management in API Gateway or Azure API Management.
• Establish the CI/CD and code quality strategy (Jenkins, GitHub/Bitbucket, Nexus, SonarQube, unit testing with JUnit).
• Automate infrastructure as code using Terraform and scripting (Shell, Python).
• Define security and authentication patterns (OAuth, SAML, Azure AD).
• Establish observability for solutions (Grafana, ElasticSearch).
• Serve as a technical reference for clients and U.S. teams in meetings, workshops, and architectural documentation.
• Mentor development and DevOps team members.
• Strong experience as an architect or senior developer in Java and Spring (Boot, Security, Data…).
• Experience in designing microservices and event-driven architectures, including Kafka or Confluent.
• Experience in designing and implementing solutions in Azure and/or AWS.
• Knowledge of REST API design and management.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control (Jenkins, Git).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Shell, Python).
• Fluent English (C1 or higher), both spoken and written.
• Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or Confluent Certified Developer certifications are valued.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS), Docker, and Helm is valued.
• Knowledge of identity security (OAuth, SAML, Azure AD) and code analysis (SonarQube) is valued.
• Experience in front-end (Angular, TypeScript, SPA) and Node.js is valued.
• Knowledge of ElasticSearch, Redis, and search engines is valued.
• Experience in performance testing (JMeter) and functional testing (Selenium) is valued.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cost management in Azure and AWS is valued.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is valued.
• Ability to envision end-to-end architecture, translate business requirements into technical solutions, communicate clearly with international clients, and demonstrate autonomy, technical leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
