This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies within designated Eastern European markets.
• Identify, acquire, and nurture new water utility clients and strategic key accounts.
• Oversee the complete sales process, which includes customer acquisition, tender submissions, negotiations, contract awards, and project transitions.
• Establish and sustain long-term partnerships with utilities, distributors, system integrators, and other strategic collaborators.
• Create competitive technical and commercial proposals in close cooperation with internal teams.
• Coordinate pilot projects, field trials, product approvals, and technical discussions with clients.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of CRM data, sales projections, and market insights while keeping an eye on competitors and industry trends.
• Represent Engelmann at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events, upholding company policies and relevant regulations.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated success in B2B sales or business development within the water utilities, smart metering, AMR/AMI, metering, or a similar technical sector.
• Proven track record in generating new business and managing intricate sales processes with municipal or private utilities.
• Familiarity with public tenders, technical specifications, and utility procurement protocols.
• Strong skills in commercial negotiations and relationship management.
• A degree in Engineering, Environmental Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Solid understanding of water utility operations and smart metering technologies.
• Proficiency in business-level English.
• Fluency in an Eastern European language is required.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
• A self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with outstanding communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a structured, results-driven mindset.
