
Area Sales Manager – Automotive Aftermarket

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives for the designated territory.
• Discover and cultivate new business prospects within collision repair facilities, body shops, detailing studios, dealerships, paint shops, and fleet clients.
• Enhance customer outreach, secure new accounts, and boost market penetration.
• Formulate and implement territory sales strategies that align with overall business goals.
• Propel profitable revenue growth while ensuring healthy profit margins.
• Build and sustain relationships with distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
• Oversee distributor inventory, product availability, replenishment, performance, and secondary sales objectives.
• Conduct joint customer visits alongside distributors.
• Establish long-lasting relationships with key automotive clients and decision-makers.
• Propose appropriate 3M product solutions and manage pricing discussions, negotiations, and commercial agreements within corporate guidelines.
• Provide customer presentations, live product demonstrations, product trials, and technical training sessions.
• Advocate for new products and value-added solutions; assist in product launches and marketing campaigns.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing models, customer demands, untapped markets, and growth opportunities.
• Collect market intelligence and supply regular feedback to the organization.
• Maintain consistent communication with automotive and industrial clients, resolving customer issues promptly.
• Prepare precise sales forecasts and territory plans.
• Keep customer information and sales activities updated in CRM systems.
• Monitor sales performance and initiate corrective measures as needed.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, reporting standards, and sales processes.
• Collaborate across departments to provide seamless customer support.
• Organize product demonstrations, promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and customer events.
• Contribute to 3M's Environmental Health and Safety culture by following safety protocols, identifying hazards, and participating in continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–8 years of B2B field sales experience.
• Background in Automotive Aftermarket, Collision Repair, Automotive Refinish, Paints, Abrasives, Adhesives, Industrial Consumables, Auto Care Products, or similar industries.
• Proven success in consistently meeting sales targets.
• Experience in managing distributor and dealer networks.
• An MBA in Marketing is a plus.
• Preferred industry backgrounds include Automotive Aftermarket, Collision Repair, Automotive Refinish, Paints & Coatings, Abrasives, Adhesives & Sealants, Industrial Consumables, Auto Detailing & Professional Car Care, Automotive Chemicals, and Automotive OEM Aftermarket.
