Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee, retain, and expand revenue across a field sales territory that includes Bristol, Cardiff, and Exeter.

• Establish enduring relationships with security installers, systems integrators, electrical contractors, and trade partners.

• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for designated customer accounts.

• Conduct regular in-person customer visits.

• Identify, prospect, and onboard new B2B clients.

• Acquire business from competitors by effectively communicating ADI’s value proposition, service model, and product offerings.

• Enhance share of wallet through consultative, solution-oriented selling techniques.

• Propel territory growth by uncovering new projects, installers, and regional opportunities.

• Strategically plan, lead, and execute supplier-driven and branch-supported sales campaigns.

• Convert campaign efforts into a qualified sales pipeline and measurable revenue growth.

• Monitor opportunities, forecasts, and reporting via CRM systems.

• Achieve performance against sales targets, KPIs, and growth objectives.

• Attend and support trade counters, supplier roadshows, exhibitions, installer days, and industry events.

• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.

• Represent ADI as a local authority in security, AV, and low-voltage technologies.

• Cultivate knowledge of ADI's product portfolios, solutions, and services.

• Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.

• Engage in technical, sales, and product training sessions.

• Provide forecasting and demand insights for Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP).


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in field sales, territory management, or B2B account management.

• Background in electronic security, electrical wholesale, AV, fire, CCTV, or trade distribution.

• Experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder products.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

• Proactive and well-organized with the capability to manage territory independently.

• Confidence in a target-driven, customer-facing environment.

• Valid UK driving license.

• Willingness to travel throughout the Bristol, Cardiff, and Exeter region.

• Understanding of sales fundamentals, pipeline management, and account development.

• Ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong commercial acumen, encompassing pricing, margin, and deal structuring.

• Excellent closing and customer engagement capabilities.

• Initiative, resilience, and a solution-focused mindset.
