This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and assist field technicians in servicing UPS systems and other critical power equipment.
• Perform field assessments to evaluate technical skills, review completed tasks, reinforce safety protocols, and provide coaching.
• Inspect preventive maintenance and repair documentation for precision and quality.
• Develop training plans for technicians, facilitate onboarding, and coordinate in-field training sessions.
• Collaborate with dispatch to address scheduling conflicts, service delays, emergency calls, and technician coverage.
• Aid in managing the on-call rotation and coordinate responses to customer emergencies.
• Monitor service quality, safety, productivity, job completion, and route effectiveness.
• Verify that technicians possess the necessary training, certifications, personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, and materials.
• Address customer inquiries and escalations along with regional leadership and customer success teams.
• Manage requests for services beyond the agreed customer scope.
• Assist with technician interviews, hiring processes, and performance evaluations.
• Supervise fleet readiness and resolve issues related to vehicles, equipment, and system access.
• Encourage adherence to OSHA, NFPA 70E, company safety protocols, and customer site requirements.
• Strong practical understanding of UPS systems and related electrical equipment.
• Experience in leading or supervising field service technicians in a customer-oriented setting.
• Background in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and service documentation for mission-critical equipment.
• Capability to coach technicians with varying levels of experience and address performance issues.
• Excellent communication skills with technicians, customers, dispatch, and support teams.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and make informed decisions during service escalations.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and relevant OSHA and NFPA 70E regulations.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory, including occasional overnight stays.
• Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies, including evenings or weekends as necessary.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company vehicle standards.
• Capability to visit active job sites, work in diverse conditions, and lift up to 110 pounds.
• Ability to complete any required pre-employment screenings, where applicable.
