This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead and provide support to field technicians who service UPS systems and other critical power equipment.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate technical skills, review completed work, reinforce safety practices, and offer coaching.
• Assess preventive maintenance and repair documentation for accuracy and quality assurance.
• Develop training plans for technicians, assist in onboarding new hires, and facilitate in-field training.
• Collaborate with dispatch to address scheduling conflicts, service delays, emergency calls, and technician coverage.
• Assist in managing the on-call rotation and coordinate responses to customer emergencies.
• Monitor service quality, safety, productivity, job completion, and performance on routes.
• Ensure technicians possess the necessary training, certifications, PPE, tools, and materials.
• Address customer inquiries and escalations in collaboration with regional leadership and customer success teams.
• Organize services that fall outside the agreed-upon customer scope.
• Assist in technician interviews, hiring processes, and performance management.
• Supervise fleet readiness and resolve issues related to vehicles, equipment, and system access.
• Advocate for compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, company safety protocols, and customer site requirements.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of UPS systems and related electrical equipment.
• Proven experience in leading or supervising field service technicians in a customer-facing role.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and service documentation for mission-critical equipment.
• Capability to coach technicians across various experience levels and address performance issues directly and justly.
• Excellent communication skills with technicians, customers, dispatch, and support teams.
• Proficient in managing competing priorities and making informed decisions during service escalations.
• Understanding of electrical safety practices and relevant OSHA and NFPA 70E standards.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory, including occasional overnight trips.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to emergencies, including evenings or weekends when necessary.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company vehicle requirements.
• Capability to visit active job sites, work in diverse conditions, and lift up to 110 pounds.
• Ability to complete any required pre-employment screenings, where applicable.
