This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Manage the overall operations and growth of the designated territory
• Provide guidance and ensure the success of designated project sites
• Review project contracts to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction
• Maintain continuous client engagement and enhance client relationships
• Participate in monthly Project Manager meetings to review financials, establish goals, and collaborate to optimize operational efficiency
• Develop and sustain tools to assess growth and performance
• Analyze and evaluate financial performance to identify activities necessary to achieve company objectives
• Create performance reports for upper management
• Generate weekly project reports and monitor performance
• Recognize opportunities for employee skill enhancement and necessary training
• Engage in daily communication with Project Managers; assist in work organization, scheduling, and identifying project requirements
• Foster relationships with city officials, employees, contractors, the general public, and representatives from other agencies
• Effectively communicate business objectives
• Attend customer meetings and address service issues professionally
• Prepare clear verbal and/or written reports for council/board as necessary
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• High school diploma or GED (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Must reside in Alabama
• A minimum of an Alabama Grade 3 Wastewater Certification
• Additional State Certifications Preferred (Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Natural Gas, Public Works)
• 5 years of experience in Public Works (specifically in water distribution, natural gas distribution, WWTP, and collections)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License
• Knowledge of municipal public works including planning, design, maintenance, and construction
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of equipment used in municipal public works
• Understanding of budget preparation and expenditure control principles
• Knowledge of Principles of Effective Management
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and execute municipal public works and utility programs/projects
• Capability to analyze organizational and administrative challenges, propose alternative solutions, and provide leadership in implementing those solutions
• Must meet specified physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing into and out of high-clearance vehicles, working in confined spaces, and utilizing required safety equipment
• Must be able to work in environments with outdoor elements, loud noises, active machinery, high-pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, pathogens, and chemicals
