This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Lead and manage the Retail Service Merchandiser/Lead Merchandiser team within the designated geographical area, encompassing interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, career development, conflict resolution, coaching, and support.
• Cultivate an understanding of the company’s business model, client and customer expectations, and project workflows.
• Periodically work in the field to comprehend project requirements and offer backup support.
• Oversee assigned project work to ensure timely completion and high-quality outcomes.
• Review project schedules and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Delegate project tasks and ensure necessary support is provided.
• Monitor progress, conduct audits of project work, address inquiries, resolve issues, manage personnel matters, and reallocate resources as needed.
• Ensure the timely delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment for the assigned projects.
• Collaborate with store personnel and the team to achieve merchandising excellence, discuss schedules and adjustments, meet objectives, and foster effective working relationships.
• Notify management of unsafe actions or conditions to aid in the prevention of injuries.
• Report observations, issues, and business solutions to the Market Manager.
• Utilize web-based applications and company retail reporting systems to manage project notifications, documentation, profiles, assignments, progress, mileage, expenses, time and attendance, and training activities.
• Prepare, process, submit, and oversee documentation related to project work and the merchandising team.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High School diploma or equivalent in the relevant industry is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of management and/or supervisory experience.
• Prior experience in sales, retail, customer service, or resets is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills are essential.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively with others.
• Competence in utilizing web-based applications, email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive for extended periods.
• Ability to operate a computer, paper cutter, copier, hammer, screwdriver, drill, case cutter, hand truck, and pallet jack.
• Must be able to climb and stand on a step stool or ladder.
