This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Drive the commercial success of a portfolio comprising midscale and upper midscale franchised hotels.
• Provide guidance to hotel owners, operators, and management companies using data on revenue, market trends, and operational performance.
• Create and influence the implementation of strategic commercial action plans aimed at enhancing RevPAR, market share, ADR, occupancy, revenue growth, and profitability for owners.
• Conduct on-site consultations, virtual meetings, business reviews, property visits, and performance assessments.
• Align performance strategies of hotels with company initiatives and available resources.
• Collaborate with teams from Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, Distribution, Brand, and Operations.
• Assess market demand, competitive positioning, business mix, pricing strategies, distribution efficiency, and sales performance.
• Analyze trends in performance, pace reports, demand drivers, channel contributions, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics.
• Adjust pricing, inventory, forecasting, and segment strategies in response to changing market conditions.
• Monitor commercial dashboards and performance metrics, identify risks, and modify strategies accordingly.
• Coordinate targeted support from commercial partner teams and enhance participation in revenue-generating initiatives.
• Transform operational and financial data into actionable insights for owners and hotel leadership.
• Facilitate recurring performance discussions and nurture relationships with owners and stakeholders.
• Document commitments, action items, strategic decisions, consultations, and performance plans.
• Submit timely and precise expense reports.
• Support franchise growth and retention initiatives, conferences, franchise associations, special projects, and organizational initiatives.
• Must reside in Virginia or North Carolina.
• At least fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in the hotel industry with significant responsibility in commercial strategy, revenue performance, sales, marketing, revenue management, or multi-property performance enhancement.
• A minimum of ten (10) years in hotel leadership roles, ideally including franchise performance, revenue management, commercial leadership, or multi-unit operational oversight.
• Proven track record of enhancing hotel commercial performance, including revenue growth, RevPAR, market share, and owner profitability.
• Successful in influencing business decisions through analytical insights and strategic consultation.
• Experience operating effectively within a matrixed organization and influencing results without direct authority.
• Strong analytical skills, forecasting abilities, and financial acumen.
• Familiarity with hotel performance and business intelligence tools, including revenue, financial, market share, and benchmarking platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze and interpret extensive datasets and convert findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Knowledge of hotel revenue management principles, sales activation strategies, distribution channels, marketing performance, loyalty programs, and profitability metrics.
• Exceptional consulting, communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
• Strong executive presence with effective communication skills directed towards hotel owners and senior leaders.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities while overseeing a geographically dispersed portfolio.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated commercial insight and strategic thinking.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and adapt priorities within a dynamic business environment.
• Commitment to organizational values, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regular travel of approximately 70% is necessary.
• Ability to travel independently within the assigned territory.
