This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Directly report to the Regional Business Leader.
• Advocate for Acadia’s FDA-approved treatment for Rett syndrome in both adult and pediatric patients aged two and older.
• Develop and implement territory-specific strategies and business plans.
• Establish trusted relationships with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Offer expert insights and resources to assist providers in initiating appropriate therapies for patients.
• Enhance awareness of the designated therapeutic area and Acadia's products, focusing on safety and efficacy.
• Communicate MLR-approved educational messages and disease-state information to targeted healthcare professionals (HCPs).
• Meet call activity, adherence, and financial goals for the designated territory.
• Foster connections with key opinion leaders and pertinent stakeholders.
• Address customer inquiries and collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues.
• Assess sales potential and optimize outreach while adhering to budget and compliance standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams to provide support to patients and healthcare providers.
• Participate in patient advocacy events, conferences, training sessions, and weekend activities.
• Stay updated on market trends, product information, and the therapeutic area.
• Counsel customers on product pricing and accessibility.
• Actively seek personal and professional development and leadership opportunities.
• Uphold and represent Acadia’s mission, values, and corporate culture.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, with a strong preference for a background in life sciences.
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience for Area Business Manager, including at least 1 year in specialty sales focused on rare diseases.
• Preferred experience in specialty sales, particularly in rare diseases, CNS/neurology, or pediatric neurology.
• Knowledge of specialty distribution and access is a plus.
• Proficient advanced selling and dialogue skills.
• Capability to cultivate enduring relationships with KOLs, Centers of Excellence, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement actionable business plans that ensure patient access to therapies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Residency within the territory is required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and readiness to travel extensively, including overnight stays and air travel.
• Must maintain good standing with the FDA and OIG.
• Capability to operate a company-provided vehicle and maintain eligibility for it.
• Ability to travel independently by airplane.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and work after hours as necessary.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
