Architectural Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Build and nurture strategic relationships with key influencers and specifiers within architectural design teams.

• Identify and secure opportunities to create door and hardware specifications.

• Advocate for the use of the Openings Studio BIM tool.

• Present project proposals that highlight value-added professional services.

• Conduct continuing education programs on new products, solutions, and design-assist services.

• Act as the primary contact for architects regarding education and specifications.

• Assist with product substitution and approval processes, and follow up throughout the bidding process.

• Monitor architectural development and ongoing projects.

• Obtain approval for the internal specification-writing team to draft door and hardware specification documents.

• Provide timely and precise product information for project specifications.

• Serve as the main point of contact for client satisfaction and technical support.

• Utilize Salesforce.com for managing customer relationships, tracking projects, and overseeing time management.


⛳️ Requirements

• College/University degree preferred in architectural design, engineering, drafting, construction science/management, business, or a related field; or a minimum of a high school/GED diploma with equivalent work experience.

• A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant industry experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management may substitute for a degree.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience with and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity tracking.

• Familiarity with industry-related software is an advantage.

• An entrepreneurial spirit and a keen interest in selling door opening solutions.

• Detail-oriented, organized, self-driven, and precise.

• Capability to manage time and projects effectively.

• Excellent communication, active listening, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to read and interpret specifications and facility standards.

• Technical and sales aptitude related to the industry.

• Willingness to travel to meet customer needs.

• Capability to fulfill responsibilities in a home office setting or while traveling.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display materials.
