Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and architect cloud solutions for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS that align with Microservices and SOA frameworks.

• Create documentation that is ready for implementation, including bills of materials and cost estimates.

• Develop and disseminate cloud policies, design patterns, and reference architectures.

• Spearhead cloud adoption initiatives, promote cultural change, and manage roadmaps and stakeholder communications.

• Prepare solution descriptions, outline technical approaches, and assess assumptions, risks, and mitigation strategies.

• Ensure architecture compliance with enterprise technology standards, security protocols, and industry best practices.

• Identify skill deficiencies, create training materials, and offer technical guidance.

• Collaborate with vendors to ensure adherence to standard architectures.

• Utilize AI for the migration from on-premises to GCP and automate systems, applications, and workflows.

• Streamline complex tasks and integrate cloud services with on-premises and third-party platforms.

• Serve as a member of the IT SWAT team for resolving high-priority problems.

• Simplify technical concepts for both technical teams and executive leadership; create briefings, technical documentation, and architecture diagrams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 13 years of IT experience, or 17 years of IT experience without a degree.

• Eligibility for a Position of Public Trust is required, including U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, five years of U.S. residency, and no more than six months of international travel in the past five years (excluding travel for U.S.-based work or military service).

• Active Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certification is mandatory.

• Practical experience in designing, deploying, and scaling solutions on Google Cloud.

• Capability to integrate GCP with SaaS and on-premise platforms (such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Linux, etc.).

• Up-to-date knowledge of AI and industry trends applied to modernize and enhance software delivery practices (Agile, TDD, CI/CD) and enterprise IT standards.

• Strong comprehension of enterprise infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, virtualization, high availability, and monitoring.

• Preferred: Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools.

• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kafka deployment in production settings.

• Preferred: Expertise in Generative AI and prompt engineering.

• Preferred: Familiarity with IT compliance frameworks (such as SOX, PCI) in cloud environments.

• Preferred: Background in ITSM/ticketing system integrations and workflow processes.

• Preferred: Knowledge of monitoring-as-code practices and version control systems.
