Lead Architect – Federal Enterprise Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and manage comprehensive architecture, security design, and technical strategy for a large-scale federal initiative.

• Direct overall system architecture and technical design across Non-Class, IL5, and IL6 environments.

• Develop OCI cloud architecture and security design for cross-domain data movement and mission operations.

• Design secure data flows between classified and unclassified environments.

• Offer technical leadership and guidance to engineering and DevSecOps teams throughout the system lifecycle.

• Create and supervise AI/ML solutions for multi-modal datasets, including text, imagery, signals, structured, and unstructured data.

• Ensure that security architectures adhere to OWASP principles and meet federal cybersecurity standards.

• Manage the integration of source code vulnerability scanning within CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with Oracle, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and resolve issues.

• Assist with security authorization and compliance activities, including eMASS documentation and artifacts.

• Confirm that architectures comply with federal standards, customer specifications, and constraints of large-scale programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance/T3 Background Investigation or higher is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

• At least 16 years of relevant professional experience.

• A minimum of 2-3 years of substantial experience specific to OCI.

• Extensive experience in supporting large-scale federal programs.

• Proven track record in architecting and delivering secure cloud solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Demonstrated proficiency in cross-domain data movement and secure system integration.

• Experience in designing and implementing architectures that fulfill Non-Class, IL5, and IL6 requirements.

• Strong knowledge of secure software development and federal compliance processes.

• In-depth understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, architectures, and policies.

• Ability to create and manage granular OCI policies.

• Solid knowledge of identity, networking, computing, and CLI.

• Capability to establish a secure desktop environment.

• Strong understanding of cross-domain solutions and secure data transfer mechanisms.

• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity frameworks and OWASP security models.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and compliance-driven development.

• Experience in architecture and security design for mission-critical federal systems.

• Experience in designing AI/ML solutions that function on multi-modal datasets.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code development and automation.

• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams in complex technical settings.

• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with Terraform is preferred but not required.

• OCI Architect Professional Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
