Arabic to English Linguist – Patent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Translate and review patent-related materials from Arabic (All Countries) into English.

• Accurately convey the original message in a clear and understandable format for the intended audience.

• Ensure the style aligns with client requirements.

• Adhere to the translation process and follow guidelines for CAT tool usage.

• Execute translation, copyediting, and back translation tasks.

• Communicate effectively and respond in a timely manner in English.

• Complete a translation assessment as part of the selection process.

• Become a part of Welocalize’s external partner network upon approval.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in translating and/or editing patent documents.

• Native-level fluency in the required languages.

• Proficient in using CAT tools, particularly XTM.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Good availability and quick response times.

• Ability to communicate effectively and respond promptly in English.

• Immediate availability is preferred.

• Successful completion of a translation assessment is required.

• Relevant experience in patent translation for Mechanics, Computer Science, and Chemistry is a plus.
