AR Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare and issue precise customer invoices promptly.

• Oversee customer accounts while maintaining accurate AR aging.

• Actively follow up on outstanding and overdue payments.

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to address billing disputes, payment discrepancies, and account issues.

• Process and apply incoming payments, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit card transactions.

• Ensure cash receipts are applied accurately and in a timely manner to customer accounts.

• Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, credits, and other account discrepancies.

• Conduct customer account reconciliations and maintain precise account balances.

• Keep complete and accurate records of customer billing and payment transactions.

• Assist in collections activities and appropriately escalate past-due accounts.

• Support month-end closing processes, including AR reconciliations, aging reports, and other necessary schedules.

• Provide support for audit requests and supply AR documentation as required.

• Identify opportunities for enhancing AR processes, billing accuracy, collections, and cash application.

• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other internal teams to resolve customer account challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, collections, or related accounting positions.

• Strong knowledge of AR processes, cash application, account reconciliation, and collections.

• Familiarity with accounting/ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Confident and professional communication abilities, including experience in direct communication with customers regarding outstanding balances.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams.

• Experience in supporting month-end close and financial reporting is preferred.
