This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily application support and operational tasks for designated applications.

• Ensure supported applications are available, reliable, and perform effectively.

• Track service levels, operational metrics, and support performance to meet set service goals.

• Manage incident handling, service restoration, root cause analysis, and problem resolution efforts.

• Supervise application support processes and operational activities to reduce service interruptions and ensure business continuity.

• Keep an eye on application health and performance trends, escalating significant issues as necessary.

• Assist initiatives aimed at enhancing application stability, support processes, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction.

• Recognize opportunities to minimize recurring incidents, defects, and operational risks.

• Ensure preparedness for application releases, upgrades, and production deployments.

• Implement and endorse monitoring, automation, and operational best practices.

• Maintain operational dashboards, metrics, and reports.

• Supervise assigned support resources, managed service providers, and vendor partners.

• Assess service provider performance and adherence to service commitments.

• Work with vendors to resolve service issues and enhance support quality.

• Assist in resource planning and workload management.

• Identify operational risks, dependencies, support gaps, and technical challenges.

• Alert leadership to significant incidents, service disruptions, capacity issues, and operational risks.

• Take part in operational reviews, service governance meetings, and risk mitigation initiatives.

• Support requirements for business continuity, disaster recovery, compliance, and operational resilience.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, infrastructure teams, and other technology groups.

• Communicate application support performance, service issues, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.

• Engage in portfolio reviews and operational planning discussions.

• Contribute to technology initiatives, enhancement efforts, and business transformation programs.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

• Travel as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• Preferred certifications include ITIL, Agile, SAFe, DevOps, Cloud, Service Management, or related fields.

• A minimum of five (5+) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology is required, including application support, service delivery, application management, or technology operations.

• Familiarity with enterprise applications and application support operations.

• Understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Service Request Management.

• Experience in managing support teams, service providers, and operational activities.

• Knowledge of service level management, performance metrics, and operational reporting.

• Experience in supporting continuous improvement and application stability initiatives.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools, automation solutions, and production support best practices.

• Capability to identify and resolve operational risks, dependencies, and support challenges.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to foster collaborative relationships with business, technology, and vendor stakeholders.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

• Travel as required.
