This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer technical assistance to clients and devise solutions utilizing CMM and Gauging technology.
• Assess customer measurement and inspection needs.
• Formulate CMM inspection strategies for intricate components.
• Develop and enhance MODUS and DMIS measurement programs.
• Perform proof-of-concept studies and feasibility analyses.
• Diagnose and resolve customer measurement challenges.
• Address programming, probing, fixturing, and correlation issues.
• Provide support to customers during startup and production scaling.
• Assist Regional and District Sales Managers.
• Contribute to technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Evaluate customer applications throughout the sales process.
• Help outline project scope, implementation needs, and quotations.
• Train customer staff on CMM operation, MODUS programming, measurement techniques, and optimal metrology practices.
• Travel extensively within the designated Northeastern US region and occasionally domestically within the US.
• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent in Engineer Technology, or relevant experience.
• Ability to grasp and understand engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Proficiency in IT.
• Strong mathematical abilities, including knowledge of trigonometry.
• Must be eligible to use and access ITAR-controlled data in compliance with U.S. export control regulations.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, metrology, or CMM operations.
• Familiarity with DMIS or other metrology programming languages.
• Experience in programming languages (VB, Java, C++).
• Previous internship experience involving part machining.
• Experience with CAD/CAM in manufacturing or quality control settings.
• Experience utilizing Renishaw products.
• Ability to identify issues and troubleshoot technical systems.
• Manual dexterity and physical capability to install products in a standard production environment.
