This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver technical assistance to clients and create solutions utilizing CMM and Gauging technology.
• Assess customer measurement and inspection needs.
• Formulate CMM inspection strategies for intricate components.
• Develop and enhance MODUS and DMIS measurement programs.
• Execute proof-of-concept studies and feasibility assessments.
• Diagnose and resolve customer measurement challenges.
• Address concerns related to programming, probing, fixturing, and correlation.
• Assist customers during startup phases and production scaling.
• Provide support to Regional and District Sales Managers.
• Contribute to technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Evaluate customer applications throughout the sales cycle.
• Help delineate project scope, implementation needs, and quotations.
• Train client personnel on CMM operation, MODUS programming, measurement methodologies, and optimal metrology practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Engineer Technology equivalent, or comparable experience.
• Capability to grasp and apply engineering principles.
• Familiarity with mechanical principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Proficiency in IT.
• Strong mathematical skills, including trigonometry.
• Eligibility to access ITAR-controlled data, ensuring compliance with U.S. export control regulations.
• Preferred background in manufacturing, quality control, metrology, or CMM operations.
• Understanding of DMIS or other metrology programming languages.
• Proficiency in programming languages (VB, Java, C++).
• Previous internship experience with a company involved in machining parts.
• Experience with CAD/CAM in a manufacturing or quality control setting.
• Familiarity with Renishaw products.
• Ability to identify issues and troubleshoot technical systems effectively.
• Manual dexterity and the physical capability to install products in a standard production environment.
• Competence in writing metrology programs.
• Willingness to travel significantly within the Southeastern US region and occasionally within the US.
