This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to clients and devise solutions utilizing CMM and Gauging technology.

• Assess measurement and inspection needs of customers.

• Formulate CMM inspection strategies for intricate components.

• Design and enhance MODUS and DMIS measurement programs.

• Execute proof-of-concept studies and feasibility assessments.

• Diagnose customer measurement challenges.

• Address programming, probing, fixturing, and correlation issues.

• Assist clients during startup and production ramp-up phases.

• Provide support to Regional and District Sales Managers.

• Aid in technical presentations and product demonstrations.

• Evaluate customer applications throughout the sales process.

• Help delineate project scope, implementation needs, and quotations.

• Train customer staff on CMM operation, MODUS programming, measurement techniques, and metrology best practices.

• Identify issues and troubleshoot technical systems.

• Install products within a typical production setting.

• Author metrology programs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology equivalent, or equivalent experience.

• Capability to grasp and interpret engineering principles.

• Familiarity with mechanical principles.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Proficiency in IT.

• Solid mathematical skills, including trigonometry.

• Eligibility to access and use ITAR-controlled data, adhering to U.S. export control regulations.

• Preferred background in manufacturing, quality control, metrology, or CMM operations.

• Understanding of DMIS or similar metrology languages.

• Experience with programming languages (VB, Java, C++).

• Prior internship involving parts machining.

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM in a manufacturing or quality control context.

• Experience utilizing Renishaw products.

• Ability to identify issues and troubleshoot technical systems.

• Manual dexterity and physical capability to install products in a standard production environment.

• Competence in writing metrology programs.
