Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Promote the products of the air pollution control division.

• Assist sales efforts by providing quotes, designing solutions, and calculating costs for customer challenges.

• Address technical inquiries from customers and distributors in a timely manner.

• Manage and prioritize workload to ensure accurate and high-quality completion of project quotations by deadlines.

• Identify, analyze, and independently resolve technical issues.

• Clearly communicate decisions and develop effective processes behind proposed solutions.

• Handle application inquiries and suggest suitable products.

• Size components as per application requirements.

• Prepare technical Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for suppliers.

• Collaborate with vendors to obtain firm and budgetary quotations.

• Conduct technical and commercial assessments to inform procurement decisions.

• Provide written and verbal quotes using ERP systems, company pricing lists, electronic quoting tools, and contractual discount schedules.

• Follow up on quotations.

• Resolve customer issues, manage complaints, and investigate warranty claims and Return Goods Authorization (RGA) processes.

• Conduct cost analysis and calculate gross margins for review and approval.

• Suggest modifications to standard products to accommodate specific customer needs.

• Represent the division at trade shows and visit customers for sales or service-related activities when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.

• Relevant experience in developing system designs and engineered packaged solutions for industrial applications.

• Experience in creating cost estimates and proposals for engineered equipment systems.

• Preferred experience in air pollution control for industrial manufacturing processes.

• Preferred experience in designing complete dust collectors, baghouses, cartridge filters, HEPA filters, and cyclone package systems.

• Understanding of EPA emissions regulations, European Union Industrial Emissions Directive, Best Available Technologies, and BREF requirements is preferred.

• Preferred experience in managing equipment design and supply projects in industrial markets.

• Must possess the necessary supporting documents for cross-border travel.
