Application Sales Engineer – PMC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Lead the sales team for regional papermachine clothing and foster growth.

• Provide support to customers in the designated area, sustain existing business, and address customer requirements.

• Engage in weekly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting activities.

• Act as the primary contact for daily customer inquiries.

• Carry out audits and service calls for paper machines.

• Relay customer activities, sales prospects, and competitive insights to the Regional Sales Manager.

• Assist and oversee the installation of machine clothing.

• Manage a designated territory and formulate strategies to achieve sales goals.

• Execute in-mill repairs of machine clothing to ensure optimal product functionality.

• Cultivate robust customer relationships through on-site assistance and regular interaction.

• Reduce warranty risks by identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.

• Support paper mills in establishing appropriate records and completing value results platforms.

• Develop and maintain detailed databases regarding customer paper machine clothing.

• Oversee an expense budget adhering to set guidelines.

• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• Strong mechanical skills and practical experience in industrial settings are encouraged.

• Relevant military technical training and leadership experience are highly regarded.

• Previous customer service experience in manufacturing or factory operations is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with papermaking processes, industrial machinery, or technical sales support is beneficial.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing role that emphasizes problem-solving and operational enhancement.

• Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power BI, and general database management.

• Willingness to travel frequently overnight within the assigned territory.

• Proficiency in the English language.
