Application Lead – WashU IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee a product or a collection of products throughout their lifecycle.

• Utilize technical and functional subject matter expertise across the organization.

• Manage intricate technical projects that affect multiple business units.

• Address complex or unclear application issues.

• Collaborate with various teams within the organization to provide high-quality solutions.

• Assist with vendor management and licensing operations.

• Implement sophisticated applications on one or more platforms while ensuring adequate documentation.

• Facilitate design discussions with IT personnel and clients.

• Create or adjust processes and procedures to tackle complex challenges.

• Define and uphold a strategic product roadmap that aligns with business objectives.

• Align application work with the established product roadmap.

• Ensure quality assurance and confirm applications are prepared for release.

• Maintain relationships with software vendors and external service providers.

• Investigate and assess new technologies, products, and tools.

• Set up feedback mechanisms to guarantee the product meets business expectations.

• Aid in complex operational tasks.

• Analyze and assess options and make decisions within the defined scope.

• Organize and prioritize work tasks for the product or portfolio.

• Provide off-hours support and act as an escalation point for complicated issues.

• Offer technical and functional guidance and mentoring to team members.

• Train, supervise, and guide less experienced team members.

• Contribute to performance reviews and hiring decisions.

• Participate in the professional development of the team.

• Deliver outstanding customer service.

• Ensure continuous improvement and compliance with departmental standards.

• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and/or experience can substitute for the minimum education requirement.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• Preferably possess technical expertise in ETL, SQL, C#, .NET.

• Willingness to provide off-hours support as necessary.

• Ability to travel to both on and off-campus locations.

• Capability to attend on-site and off-site meetings.

• No specific certification or professional license is mandatory.

• A driver's license is not required.
