This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and provide support for secure enterprise web applications utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Create and maintain both internal and external APIs that facilitate business processes, integrations, and application functionalities.
• Develop solutions employing C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Blazor, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and contemporary front-end frameworks.
• Design or assist in the creation of Microsoft SQL Server database objects, such as tables, views, stored procedures, and queries.
• Collaborate with business users, product owners, analysts, and developers to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Construct cloud-native applications leveraging Microsoft Azure services like Functions and Logic Apps.
• Engage in architecture discussions regarding performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.
• Support authentication, authorization, and identity management utilizing OpenID Connect, OAuth, Azure AD, or Azure B2C.
• Develop and sustain integrations with internal systems, external platforms, and third-party services.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Write clean, maintainable, and documented code that adheres to secure development practices.
• Participate in code reviews, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize source control, DevOps pipelines, and deployment tools to ensure reliable software delivery.
• Modernize legacy applications to enhance performance and reduce technical debt.
• Safeguard sensitive business, client, member, and healthcare-related information.
• Remain updated on application development practices, Microsoft cloud technologies, and emerging software delivery tools.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in application development, software engineering, or a related technical role.
• Extensive experience with C# and the Microsoft .NET platform.
• Proven track record in building secure web applications and APIs for both internal and external users.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, and database structures that support applications.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Blazor, Vue.js, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting applications in Microsoft Azure or another cloud environment.
• Familiarity with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Application Insights, and related services.
• Understanding of secure development practices, authentication, authorization, data protection, logging, and error handling.
• Experience with RESTful API design and system integration concepts.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or similar DevOps platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and devise practical solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively, or remotely as business needs dictate.
• Strong commitment to quality, security, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Preferred: experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefit management, claims processing, or regulated environments.
• Preferred: familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, PII, or similar data protection requirements.
• Preferred: mobile application development that interfaces securely with public APIs.
• Preferred: expertise in responsive or mobile-friendly web application design.
• Preferred: experience with AI-accelerated development using Claude Code, Devin, or Windsurf.
• Preferred: legacy application modernization or cloud-native migration.
• Preferred: automated, unit, integration, or test-driven development experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of containerization, microservices, or cloud-native design patterns.
• Preferred: experience with Agile or iterative software development methodologies.
• Preferred: familiarity with application monitoring, logging, and performance tuning tools.
