This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Design system and application solutions, encompassing motion architecture, system topology, and software design.
• Develop application software tailored to customer needs and oversee the entire project lifecycle from prototype to commissioning.
• Configure and commission drives, such as VFDs, inverters, and servo systems.
• Create PLC/HMI programs.
• Assist in testing, start-up, and field validation of automation solutions.
• Document and standardize application knowledge into reusable tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with Sales to craft solution concepts that meet customer requirements.
• Offer technical support during pre-sales activities, including customer meetings, workshops, and presentations.
• Help prepare proposals and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and support sales growth initiatives.
• Provide advanced technical support to customers and internal teams, both remotely and onsite.
• Determine and select products and solutions based on application requirements.
• Aid in commissioning and troubleshooting during system start-up.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical training.
• Create training materials, application documentation, and technical guides.
• Foster ongoing technical development within the Sales organization.
• Travel throughout the region for customer support, sales activities, and training, up to 25%.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience.
• Proficient in IEC 61131-3 programming languages (Ladder, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram).
• Experience with motion control systems, PLCs, HMI programming, and industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN, Ethernet-IP, RS232/485).
• Strong mechatronics background, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Competent in machine commissioning and formulating application/machine specifications.
• Familiarity with wiring diagrams and troubleshooting customer wiring issues.
• Preferred experience with Visual Basic, and Windows-based software installation and setup.
• Knowledge of machine safety standards and project management practices.
• Solid understanding of Windows OS and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, MS Project).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including overnight travel within the region.
